Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the YouAceIt mobile application ("the App") or visiting www.youaceit.com ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and YouAceIt ("we," "our," or "us"). If you are using YouAceIt on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

YouAceIt is an AI-powered study planning application that helps students prepare for examinations including A-Level, O-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), and similar qualifications. The App provides:

• Personalised study schedules generated using artificial intelligence
• Spaced-repetition revision planning based on your performance data
• Study session tracking, XP rewards, and achievement systems
• Integration with Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Apple HealthKit, and Google Fit (all optional)
• Performance analytics, readiness scoring, and burnout detection
• Friend connections and study challenges

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You must create an account to use YouAceIt. You may register using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@youaceit.app if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

One Account Per User

Each person may maintain only one YouAceIt account. Creating multiple accounts to exploit rewards, XP systems, or challenges is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use YouAceIt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its connected systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App (including to farm XP or achievements).
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Transmit any content that is defamatory, offensive, or harmful.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations of this section, including suspension or termination of your account.

5. Health Data Disclaimer

Sleep and activity data obtained from Apple HealthKit or Google Fit is used only to identify optimal study windows (e.g., avoiding sessions after poor sleep). This data is processed on-device or in your personal account and is not shared with third parties for health purposes.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice. Do not rely on YouAceIt for health-related decisions.

6. AI & Study Planning Disclaimer

YouAceIt uses artificial intelligence to generate study schedules, readiness scores, and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy and usefulness, please be aware that:

• AI-generated study plans are suggestions, not guarantees of exam success.
• Results may vary depending on individual effort, study habits, and exam preparation.
• YouAceIt does not guarantee any specific academic outcome or grade.
• We recommend supplementing the App with guidance from teachers, tutors, and official exam preparation materials.

7. Intellectual Property

The YouAceIt application, website, branding, curriculum data, algorithms, and all associated content are owned by YouAceIt and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial study purposes. This licence does not permit you to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content.
• Use YouAceIt's branding or trademarks without prior written permission.
• Sub-licence or sell access to the App.

All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by YouAceIt.

8. User Content

YouAceIt allows you to input study data, session notes, and custom topics ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

We do not use your User Content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

9. Third-Party Services

YouAceIt integrates with third-party services including Google (Firebase, Calendar, Tasks, Fit), and Apple (HealthKit). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party services. Integration with these services is optional and can be revoked at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, YouAceIt and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.
• Any academic outcomes, exam results, or grade performance.

In jurisdictions where limitations of liability are restricted by law, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YouAceIt and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your use of the Service in a manner not authorised by these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

12. Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the App's Settings screen or by contacting us at support@youaceit.app. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent behaviour, or if required to do so by law.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The current Terms will always be available at www.youaceit.com/terms.

Your continued use of YouAceIt after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
